Trinity Under Scrutiny

This is a blog dealing with theology, christology, religion, maybe even politics from time to time. As a matter of fact, I will stretch the scope of this blog to the point of discussing any piece of fiction I deem worthy of analyzing for its insights on ethical/moral issues. It is meant to be a forum for discussing God from the perspective of a 21st century layman.

Searching for ethics

These days I have read about the Sermon on the Mound. As I face another semester of Jesus of Nazareth I realize how much I will have to work to design a course that will really put my students in a reflective mood.

Sometime I question myself about my motives for doing one thing or another. Yesterday, for example, I had the temptation of doing something that, at first, would seem good for me. It meant removing someone of whom I don't think fondly. Yet I considered how stupid I would look if, in doing so, I showed just how morally weak I am. But I still think about it.
